We make accountability and staff training a priority at Lugano. Our staff have either completed or are engaged in NVQ/Diploma care training, and Lugano Care Home itself regularly receives a Care Quality Commission (CQC) report. We maintain consistently high standards for both the home itself and our staff.

Training and Certification

Our Manager, Stephanie Mirams, is a qualified assessor in NVQ care training programs. Over 50% of the staff at Lugano Care Home have either completed or commenced an appropriate level of NVQ/Diploma care training for their role in the home. Skills for Care, the strategic development body for the adult social care workforce in England, launched a set of Common Induction Standards back in October 2006 for training all new staff employed. Stephanie is also responsible for applying the updated Common Induction Standard (CIS 2010) training to our care staff.
